Fluoride is another preventive treatment option available for children. It has to be done at least twice a year. When applied on to the tooth enamel it enters into it and makes it more resistant to decay. This has more effects on the smooth surfaces of the tooth and very less effects on the occlusal / biting /pit & fissure.
